Manual Box Gluing Machine Adaptation and Adjustment Techniques for Different Carton Sizes

In customized, small-batch carton production scenarios, the Manual Box Gluing Machine faces the need to process cartons of different sizes, thicknesses, and materials. This article introduces how to adapt the Manual Box Gluing Machine to different carton sizes.

1. Size Positioning

Length and Width Adjustment: Using the dimensions marked on the unfolded carton diagram as a reference, first adjust the positioning baffles on both sides to be slightly larger than the target size. Place the cardboard in for a trial feed, and gradually fine-tune it to ensure the edges of the cardboard fit tightly against the baffles and the conveying is smooth. The final error should be controlled within ±0.5mm to avoid misalignment at the interface.

Height Adaptation Adjustment: Based on the height of the formed carton, simultaneously adjust the height of the pressure roller to ensure full contact between the pressure roller and the bonding surface. This prevents the roller from being suspended, leading to weak bonding, or from being too tight, causing corrugated collapse.

Conveyor Positioning Calibration: Check the parallelism and tension of the Manual Box Gluing Machine's conveyor belt. If cardboard misalignment occurs, fine-tune the belt pulley tension or add side guide wheels to ensure the cardboard conveying path is straight and stable.

2. Parameter Matching

Thin Cardboard (Three-Layer Corrugated): Adjust the glue-coating roller pressure of the Manual Box Gluing Machine to 0.3-0.4 MPa, and set the glue-coating gap to 0.1-0.2 mm. Reduce pressure to avoid cardboard deformation; the conveyor speed can be appropriately increased, and fast-drying glue can be used to improve efficiency.

Thick Cardboard (Five-Layer/Seven-Layer Corrugated): Increase the glue-coating pressure to 0.5-0.8 MPa, and widen the gap to 0.2-0.3 mm to ensure full glue penetration; reduce the conveyor speed and extend the pressing and setting time to enhance bonding strength.

Special Material Cardboard: For damp or soft cardboard, reduce the pressure roller pressure and slow down the conveyor speed to prevent damage under pressure; for stiff cardboard, increase the glue application amount and appropriately increase the conveyor efficiency to avoid the glue drying too quickly and causing delamination.
