How to Optimize the Bonding System of a Spiral Paper Tube Making Machine?

In paper tube production, the bonding effect directly affects the strength and lifespan of the paper tube. A good bonding effect from a Spiral Paper Tube Making Machine can improve the product quality and yield rate. This article introduces how to optimize the machine's bonding system:

The core of the Spiral Paper Tube Making Machine's bonding system lies in adhesive compatibility and precise control of adhesive application. Different types of paper tubes require specific adhesives: high-strength industrial paper tubes are suitable for high-temperature resistant epoxy adhesives to ensure no delamination under high temperatures; ordinary packaging paper tubes can use environmentally friendly starch adhesives, balancing cost and bonding effect. The adhesive application process requires a precision application roller. By adjusting the roller speed and gap, the adhesive application amount is controlled at 8-12 g/㎡ to avoid over-application causing paper tube bulging, and under-application causing interlayer separation.

Post-bonding curing is equally crucial. After bonding using a Spiral Paper Tube Making Machine, a segmented drying process is required: the first segment is a low-temperature pre-drying process at 40℃ to remove surface moisture from the adhesive; the middle segment is a constant-temperature curing process at 50℃ to enhance bonding strength; and the final segment is a natural cooling process to prevent deformation caused by thermal expansion and contraction. Simultaneously, residual adhesive on the coating rollers should be cleaned regularly, and the ventilation of the drying channel should be checked to prevent adhesive clumping that could affect coating uniformity or insufficient drying that could lead to bonding failure.
