The automatic carton folder gluer machine is a key piece of equipment responsible for gluing and forming cartons in carton production. Its core function is to achieve precise gluing and secure bonding of overlapping carton sections through an automated process. So, how do you achieve precise gluing of cartons? This article explains.
1. Carton Conveying and Positioning
After the automatic carton folder gluer machine is started, the processed carton sheets are fed into the machine in an orderly manner by a conveyor mechanism (usually a conveyor belt or rollers).
During the conveying process, a positioning mechanism uses gauges, side guides, and other structures to maintain the correct position of the carton sheets, ensuring that the edges to be glued are precisely aligned with the subsequent gluing position, preventing skew that could affect the gluing process.
2. Precise Gluing
When the carton sheets reach the designated position, the gluing mechanism begins operation. The gluing device, typically a roller or glue gun with a small glue outlet, evenly applies a viscous glue (such as starch glue or white latex) to the overlapping edges of the carton. The automatic carton folder gluer machine pre-sets the glue application width and location based on the carton size, ensuring neither excess glue wasted nor insufficient glue application resulting in a weak bond.

3. Folding and Pressurized Bonding
After gluing, the carton sheets enter the folding mechanism.
The folding mechanism precisely folds the glued edges onto the corresponding carton surfaces, conforming to the carton's molding requirements. Subsequently, a pressurizing device (such as a pressure roller or pressure wheel) applies appropriate pressure to the joint, ensuring full contact between the glue and the carton surface, accelerating the bonding process and ensuring a secure bond between the overlapping edges.
4. Finished Product Output
After a brief pressurized curing period, the carton sheets bonded by the automatic carton folder gluer are transported to the exit, completing the gluing process.
